Product Description

Naringenin (4',5,7-trihydroxydihydroflavone) is the glycoside of naringin.

Naringenin is a rich source, mainly in the form of glycoside (naringenin) widely found in the rind and pulp of tomato, grapefruit, orange, tangerine and other plants of the Brassicaceae family, and is also one of the main active ingredients in Chinese traditional medicines such as Citrus aurantium dulcis, Citrus aurantium dulcis, Bone Marrow, and Hua Tangerine Hong.

Naringenin and its glycosides have a wide range of biological activities, with anti-arrhythmic, antitussive, prevention of atherosclerosis, immunomodulation of fat metabolism, anti-aging, protection of liver function, as well as estrogen-like and other pharmacological activities. It also promotes gastrointestinal motility, antispasmodic, antioxidant, antitumour, antibacterial, anti-atherosclerosis, hypolipidemic, sedative, analgesic, blood sugar regulation and other effects.

Characteristics

High Purity

Naringenin can be obtained in high purity through natural extraction and fine manufacturing processes. High purity means better bioavailability and fewer adverse reactions.

Safety

Naringenin is a natural product that has been proven to be safe for humans. There are no toxic side effects within the dosage range.

Stability

Naringenin has good stability and can maintain its activity and effect under different environmental and storage conditions.

Easily absorbed

Naringenin can be rapidly absorbed by the human body, entering the blood circulation through the intestines and distributed to different tissues and organs.

Applications

Antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects: Inflammatory response refers to the body's defensive response to damaged factors, which is a complex process involving a variety of cytokines. The mechanism by which naringenin effectively attenuates lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced lung inflammation is through the inhibition of inflammatory cell infiltration, release of inflammatory mediators, lung oedema, MPO, and iNOS activity via the NF-κB pathway, and the inhibition of TNF-α secretion and pulmonary neutrophil infiltration reduces neutrophil recruitment to the lung and neutrophil-mediated oxidative damage. In addition, naringenin also inhibited LPS/IFN-γ-induced iNOS expression and nitric oxide production by glial cells, thus showing strong anti-inflammatory activity.

Antioxidant effect: Naringenin prevented oxidative stress in the liver, which may be related to the activation of the Nrf2 nuclear transcripxion factor as well as the attenuation of TNF-α pathway that triggers inflammatory responses in liver tissues. A proper balance between oxidants and antioxidants is necessary for a long and healthy life, and once the balance is disturbed, it may lead to dysfunction and disease caused by oxidative stress, which is thought to have an important role in the pathogenesis of diabetes and its complications.

Anti-tumour and anti-cancer effects: the anti-tumour activity of flavonoids has attracted widespread attention worldwide, naringenin can play an anti-tumour role by inhibiting the growth and proliferation of tumour cells, inhibiting tumour cell metastasis, promoting apopxosis of tumour cells and other pathways Chemicalbook. naringenin is able to inhibit the PI3K activity of MCF-7 breast cancer cells and 3T3-L1 adipocytes. Naringenin can inhibit PI3K activity in MCF-7 breast cancer cells and 3T3-L1 adipocytes, and also play an anticancer role by lowering the activity of Caspase-31/CPP32 and causing apopxosis of HL-60.

Anti-injury effects: naringenin can significantly inhibit the up-regulation of TNF-α, TGF-β1, MMP-9 and TIMP-1 levels, reduce the content of malondialdehyde and hydroxyproline in the lungs, and increase the activities of SOD, GSH-Px and HO-1, which suggests that naringenin can effectively protect and treat ALI, and provides a new way of thinking for the clinical treatment of lung injury.

Hypolipidemic effect: Naringenin and other flavonoids can reduce the concentration of CH and TG in the blood by inhibiting Apo B secreted by the liver, so as to achieve the therapeutic effect of hypolipidemic. Naringenin can also inhibit the activity of HMG-CoA reductase, reduce the level of blood lipids in hyperlipidaemic rat model, improve the abnormalities of lipid metabolism in hyperlipidaemia in rats, and inhibit the formation of atherosclerosis and fatty liver.

Properties and benefits of naringenin

Naringenin, scientifically known as 5,7-dihydroxy-2 (4-hydroxyphenyl) chroman-4-one, is a flavanone that is sometimes considered a flavanone with anti-inflammatory properties.

Protection of cellular DNA

One of the properties of naringenin is that it has a protective effect on DNA. When naringenin is present in the body, it inhibits the abnormal function of cytochrome P450 and protects the quality of deoxyribonucleic acid.

Antiviral properties

Studies have also shown that it has the benefit of eliminating viruses. In fact, naringenin has antiviral properties. In vitro studies have shown that it reduces the replication of the hepatitis C virus.

Obesity

Naringenin improves fat metabolism and reduces the percentage of obese people. When a person consumes too much food or has a diet that does not match their calorie consumpxion, naringenin-rich foods can reduce fat absorpxion.

In addition, naringenin has the ability to lower cholesterol, improve cardiovascular health and prevent arteries from becoming clogged with fatty tissue.
